There are certain aspects of each ID document that must pass our criteria. From the document structure, to the security features, the PDF417 Barcode and many other elements are being checked for authenticity and compliance.
They can receive the VerifyID link either via email or SMS text.
You can crosscheck your clients’ Driver’s License with the DMV in 38 US states. Those not yet included are California, Arkansas, Nevada, Utah, Oklahoma, Minnesota, Louisiana, Alabama, South Carolina, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, and New Hampshire.
First, we ask our clients to repeat the process. If the second attempt fails as well, the case will automatically be sent to our Assist team.

Most dealerships only go after off-site or out-of-state business when the risk is minimal. Otherwise, you are playing with fire—and you will get burned. The drawbacks to off-site signings have been waiting for money to clear, lengthy contract transit times, or documents not signed correctly. In addition, you face the possibility of fraudulent transactions or money-laundering scams.
Maverick is your finance department's liaison, your eyes and ears outside the dealership. Our signers are all state-commissioned, trained and Maverick-certified to handle your transactions quickly and accurately.
It can and it does. By streamlining off-site documentation signing and reducing the inherent risks of these transactions, you gain increased sales and profitability for your store. We are a great addition to your organization's Red Flag Compliance program!
The Maverick notary will ask to see a current driver's license or, in the case of a non-licensed co-signer, an identification document or card with a photograph, physical description and signature. An Affidavit of Identity is filled out and notarized for each signer of your documents. These affidavits are returned with your docs to be filed with the deal.
For many documents, yes. Certain affidavits, deeds and powers of attorney may not be legally binding unless they are properly notarized. Some states may require notarization of certain DMV documents or contracts. Please check with your state DMV for regulations and requirements. With other documents, no. Private entities and individuals may require notarization to strengthen the document and to protect it from fraud.
No. A notarization typically means the signer acknowledged to the notary that he or she signed the document stating the affirmation of their identity pertaining to their transaction.
Depending on your dealership needs, we have three price plans to choose from.
Notaries
Mobile notaries will be paid per signing for services rendered on a net 30 from completion and AOI uploaded to Maverick through your notary portal. Compensation is similar to a mortgage loan signing, although the engagement typically takes less than 30 minutes to complete. Maverick Signings stands behind our notaries and understands that your time is valuable. Therefore, if the signing is completed and the transaction does not go through, you will still be paid for your services. (This policy will be valid as long as it is not due to notary error, missed signatures or failure to complete the AOI.) Adjustments for exceptions will be agreed upon on a case-by-case basis. Mileage/time adjustments for out-of-area signings will be negotiated prior to your acceptance of the signing. Out-of-area signings are 30 miles or more from your office as determined by the delivery address in your notary profile. Agreed-upon terms will be noted on the notary confirmation.
Over the past seven years, Maverick Signings has been aggressively marketing and securing accounts for our auto division. We need competent, full-time, mobile notaries located throughout the nation to complete our automotive-related signings.
Although the signing typically takes less time, its many forms and signatures may be unfamiliar to the average notary. Automobile sales documents vary in appearance, and the disbursement of client copies is completely different than it is for mortgages. We are aware that numerous states already require certain automotive documents to be notarized. Many lenders are reluctant to lend to out-of-state borrowers or co-signers because of the inherent risks of fraud. That is why the need for mobile notaries is so great. E-signings may someday be a way of life, although the same problems lie with not knowing who you are really dealing with.
Unlike mortgage signings, dealer documents for automotive signings are not e-documents and require no printing. Documents will be overnighted to the delivery address in your notary profile.
